Tiger’s Recent Stumbles (and more): A Bit Of A Concern To Me

Tiger, our beloved feline companion, has recently been stumbling more than usual, which has raised some concerns. Although it’s not too serious at the moment, these changes in his movements have caught my deepest attention. I’ve noticed him struggling with balance and coordination, and at times, he seems to misstep or wobble when standing up. This is particularly surprising, as Tiger has always been incredibly agile and quite confident in his movements, and seeing him like this is a bit unsettling. While he’s still eating well and engaging with us, his occasional stumbling is hard to ignore. This is combined with drooling and showing difficulty retracting his claws. Despite these small setbacks, Tiger remains in good spirits overall—he still purrs contentedly when he’s being petted and enjoys his usual favorite activities, like being lazy and following us around the house. But I'm keeping an eye on him to determine whether a vet visit might be needed to find out what the exact problem is.
Possible Issues:
Inner Ear Problems (Vestibular Disease)
Arthritis or Joint Pain
Neurological Issues
Low Blood Sugar or Dehydration
Age-Related Balance Issues (Update: We've concluded this is most likely the problem)
We’re keeping a very close watch on him, making sure he’s comfortable and safe, but for now, it’s not something that raises a mild concern. As we continue to monitor his condition, we’re hopeful it’s just a temporary issue. We’ll keep everyone updated as needed and continue to do everything we can to support him through this time, hoping for a quick resolution and his full recovery
